Chapter 11
Glossary
The words used in the product and in this manual, in alphabetical order.
Terms
Two words are easy to confuse. Sandbox mode and Production mode are modes of Cockpit. A Salesforce sandbox and a Salesforce production org are kinds of org. A Developer Edition org can be used in Production mode, and a production org can be used in Sandbox mode.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Anypoint Platform | MuleSoft's website for building and running integrations. |

| Blast radius | The line on an approval card that says where the change lands, for example "Writes to Salesforce org ...". |
| Board | The page that shows your work as cards in four columns. Beta, switched on for testers. |
| Brain panel | The panel on the chat that shows what Cockpit ran, your approvals and API usage. |

| Client credentials | A way for an app to sign in as itself, without a person. The MuleSoft connected app uses it. |

| External Client App | The Salesforce app you create so an outside tool such as Cockpit can sign in. |

| OAuth | The sign-in method in which you approve a tool without giving it your password. |
| Per-run limit | The most times one kind of write may be asked for in a single chat run. Cards asked count, not only those approved. |

| Production mode | The Cockpit mode in which writes are possible, each after your approval. Not a statement about the org. |
| Pull request | A proposal to change code that your team reviews before anything is merged. |
| Rail | The strip of icons at the left of the console (the bottom on a phone). |
